Every nook-n-cranny of the Walter J. Swift estate and Sunbeam archives was scoured for anything Sunbeam. A variety of NOS (New Old Stock) and terrific condition previously rejected or unused WJS spares are being offered for sale. Keep in mind that Wally’s rejects are our treasures.
Registrants at the TEAE United in Charleston have the first opportunity to acquire these gems from the past. A wide variety of items will be made available at the United via a silent auction and some will be sold through a conventional auction process. There will be a reasonable reserve on some of the real treasures.
Examples of NOS items available include backup lights, MK II wheel arch trim, License plate lights, Tiger Air filter, Water pumps, fuel pumps, Differential carrier, Weatherstripping, chrome head light bezels, etc. Wally’s model car collection is believed to be a world class presentation. He has over 40 diecast model Alpines, Tigers and others. His car collection includes static displays of Beam car carrier with six cars, dealership, garage and other displays. Each of the cars were caressed and finished by Wally with so much care and detail that they commanded a price $125 each. In addition to the NOS items, Wally had an extensive collection of previously owned spares that are of top quality. Examples include nave (hubcaps) plates taken off his Tiger, wheel beauty rings, Webber Carb setup, Alpine engine, WIPAC backup light kits, Door pulls, tool kit, “Rootes” driving light, etc.
