All British Field Meet

Every year, for the past 36 years, the Vancouver ABFM organizers have been inspired by the sight of so many enthusiasts who faithfully make the time and effort to enter and display their classic British cars and bikes on the lawns of the magnificent VanDusen Botanical Garden.

Equally inspiring is the increasing number of enthusiasts who arrive at the entrance gate to enjoy what is known as The Greatest Show on British Wheels. That’s encouraging because it confirms that the classic car hobby is alive and growing here in Western Canada despite ongoing, disruptive elements affecting the key staging locations for Vancouver events.

Tiger Authenitcation (TAC)

There will be the opportunity to have your Tiger authenticated as TAC committee members have committed to attend the show, with TAC chairperson, Patrick King also planning to be in attendance.

On May 19th, there will be an All British Car Run from Langley City to the lakeside resort town of Harrison Hot Springs. There cars will be displayed at a private RV Resort with a barbecue luncheon and entertainment with awards and prizes to follow in the afternoon. We have Tiger owners planning to attend from as far away as our Okanagan Region and Vancouver Island so it would be great to see a good turn out.

This year’s Brits by the Bay is changing locations to the Linganore Winesellers in Mt. Airy, MD. It will be held on Sunday May 19th. Some of you may remember this location as the winery where we ended our Drive with the Sunbeams a few years back. We’re also thinking about a pre-event breakfast somewhere near Mt Airy. contact Joe Parlanti  know if you are interested.

This has historically been the largest annual  Rootes Car Event in Eastern Canada!  Only 3 1/2 hrs from Detroit, 2 hrs 45 min from Port Huron, and 1 hr 45 min from Buffalo. We have had ove 60 Rootes enthusiasts attend this popular event.

Come mingle with your fellow enthusiasts, learn valuable tech tips, exchange stories, buy and sell parts and view the cars.

New and used treasures show up every year, so don’t miss out!!

A great opportunity to drive your car through the rolling hills of Halton Hills.  Bring your lawn chairs and sit under the trees on the Leonard’s country estate. Porta-Potty will be on site

It’s that time of year! The Original British Car Day (OBCD) returns to Lilypons Water Gardens in Adamstown, Maryland on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. As is tradition, Ronnie Silber and I will be serving up homemade Italian Sausage and Pepper sandwiches.

Also, we’re bringing back the Drive with the Otto Amici on Saturday, the day before for those who would like to make a weekend of it. The drive will be around 100 miles and will have a stop for lunch and end at a local winery. Please contact me directly at jv********@gm***.com if you wish to attend.

Two dozen Sunbeam’s wowed the organizers in ’22. And it rained and rained. This year should be more inviting with our great weather this season.

The hosts of this event and the setting among the shade trees make for a wonderful day of fellowship among like minded folk.The Paragon’s caterer’s superior burgers, cinnamon buns and pastries are an attraction themselves. This is a social event with awards presented by a panel of show judges.

Join the Rootes Parade

Our Rootes cars will be allowed to parade in as a group to our designate parking near the food court. The setting presents our Rootes as the centerpiece of the event. The event is open to the public this year with busing from a local school parking lot.

Sunbeams are requested to stage at the rear of the Saucon Valley Senior High School Parking lot (2100 Polk Valley Rd, Hellertown, PA) There is ample room for trailer parking. A bus shuttle will be provided throughout the day from the High School parking lot and the show. .

We will depart promptly at 9AM as a group to parade and stage at the show..

Sorry, no TAC inspections at this event.

We have been invited to join up with the Peachtree MG club’s British car show they do every two years in Dillard.

This is a very large British car show and there are some incredible driving roads too. There will be plenty to see and do so don’t miss this 3 day event!

The Sunbeam Tiger will be front and center at the 39th annual British Car Day just east of Toronto.  The event regularly attracts more than 1000 British cars and motorcycles and 9,000-10,000 spectators.   The organizers will be recognizing the 60th anniversary of the Tiger, which includes displaying one of the TEAE Tigers on ‘Anniversary Row’ located in the middle of the field.  You can register beforehand to make entry faster and you can save $5 normally.
