At one point in redoing my car I found myself looking for a replacement strap used to secure the tool roll. The original had paint spots, rust on the buckle and had ripped around the rivets. In looking around, I found that the strap for an MGA makes an almost perfect replacement. The color is black and the buckle is very similar to the original, however, it’s about 5 inches longer. You can remove the metal end piece, cut the strap off, and recrimp the metal.

Moss Motors carries these, part number 385-940.
