I was experiencing oil seepage from between the engine feed pipe and the feed pipe union nut atop the oil filter adapter assembly. The problem was caused by the worn and irregular surfaces between the flare on the bottom of the feed pipe and where it fits against the tapered seat in the adapter nut. No amount of tightening will fix this situation.

A quick fix I found is to use a # 1 size O-ring between these surfaces. Select the thickest one, so the O-ring’s OD just fits inside the adapter nut and the ID is large enough to clear the oil passage hole inside the adapter nut. With this O-ring in place, just an easy snug of the union pipe will tighten it against the adapter with no leaks.
