2016 BASH Itinerary: Day of BASH, May 21
Early-Bird Activity: Friday Evening, May 20
This is usually a one day event, but if you’re in town on Friday evening, we’ll be having dinner (Dutch treat) at The Stoney Creek Inn 150 Erie St. Dauphin, PA 17018.
Stoney Creek Inn is in the sprawling metro-plex of Dauphin Borough (population 791 in 2010) just north of Harrisburg.
Our dinner will be in the dining room but if you get there a little early, we’ll have drinks on the beautiful deck overlooking the beautiful Stoney Creek with its wild life in its natural environment, Blue Heron, Ducks, Eagles, Falcons and Jumping Trout all make an appearance to our outdoor diners.
Please advise BASH registration if you plan to dine and spend the evening with us. We want to be sure there’s plenty of space at the table.
Day of the BASH: Saturday, May 21 (all times approximate)
UPDATE! TAC INSPECTIONS OFFERED at the BASH!
Inspections start at 8:00 am. Please advise us by May 14 if you are bringing a car for inspection. The fee for TAC inspection is US$50. You will also have to sign a waiver releasing the TAC program and STOA from any liability, and provide basic contact information. If the car is not certifiable, the fee is refunded.
- What’s inside an overdrive? How to evaluate parts.
- How to rebuild a brake Servo.
- What exactly is a plasticgage: how and why do you use it?
- Tachometer calibration: art and science.
- The lift may be available for inspections of your own car.
Noon: luncheon buffet
1:30 pm: 2nd annual Blue Mountain Run: A gimmick rally (with prizes!)
Last year we looked at a retired ’67 Alpine on the lift trying to determine if it was worth saving. No change to that car. But it’s no longer on the lift. Curious about the results of the voting on the future of that car?
There’s an MGA on the lift now. It should be finished before the BASH leaving the lift available for you to look under your car. But no guarantees! You know the process, right?
Staying over Saturday night after the BASH?
This is Carlisle Import and Performance Car weekend. (Yep, that’s a new name!) And the site is close by.

If you want to trailer your car, please let us know. If your car can drive ¼ mile, there’s plenty of space. If it won’t move under its own power, we need to talk first – our driveway can be a challenge.
