      Hi all:

I just installed a new windshield in my 64′ Tiger clone. I was able to do the replacement w/o taking the windshield frame off the car. Once the weatherstripping and mouldings were removed it was an easy process to remove the glass and gasket from the frame. The new gasket and glass were installed by "roping" them in. The whole process from start to finish was less than two hours.

The gasket surrounding the glass was still very pliable and I am sure this helped the replacement go as easily as it did. An older, stiffer gasket might not be as easy to work with.

So, for those of you who may face glass replacement in the future, even though the shop manual does not address this issue, it is not a difficult procedure.

      from sunny South Dakota

      Paul
