I’m taking a scattergun approach to my Tiger rehabilitation and today was another enlightenment. My drivers door winder is kaput, on investigation the large arc gear is partially stripped. I have a spare drivers door. My car is an early ’66 with square corners, the spare door is (i think) a ’64 or ’65 with round corners. The winder mechanisms are somewhat different and do not mount the same way. Are they actually interchangeable requiring different mounting holes or are the differences greater than that. Is the best fix simply moving the good crescent gear from the early mechanism to the newer one ? Thanks, Bob
