  I am thinking about changing to an alternator and I understand that a different bracket is required to install an alternator. Did the MKII use a Ford alternator or was a Lucas unit used? What current alternator did they use? What else is required for the conversion?

  I have a Series II which I believe uses a Ford Alternator.Try Rick at Sunbeam Specialties. He’s in Los Gatos,California near San Jose.WWW.ROOTES.COM;sunsp22@comcast.net. He should be able to answer and is a great source for parts. Frank Mooney
