  Hi Folks,
  
  I have had a fun day that leads to this request! This morning on the way to the inspection station I lost my clutch, yes I know it has been week for a while but was holding out till winter. Well not any more!
  
  I need help and information, the clutch led me to also discover a crack in my cast iron exhaust manifold and to discover that the clutch release rod is the earlier adjustable one and not the fixed length SV rod.. so to my questions and plea for help.
  
  How long should the SV rod be? I can then adjust my adjustable one to the correct length when I refit a new clutch – yet to be sourced.
  
  And if anyone with a spare SV Cast iron manifold (header) and is attending the "Lanco MG’s A taste of British car show and polo match" in Lancaster tomorrow and happend to bring it along I would be very happy to talk to them!
  
  Thanks to Carl Moon who dropped everything to help me remove the gearbox today!
