  It appears that Delphi 12405 for the 1987-1992 Range Rover would also fit an Alpine (also Hillmans from 1960 onwards).

  Yes, you can use other "LBC" parts, but you can buy the Range Rover part at many local parts stores. I got a spare from Rock Auto for $20.

  You can also use an 1965-80 MGB clutch master cylinder. Depending on which one you buy ("replacement" or Lockheed/Delphi) prices range from about $25 through $140 or so.
