  My bride and I, accompanied by a car full of camping equipment, traveled from our home in Mitchell, SD out to the Black Hills. Drove Interstate 90 on the way out, traveled SD44 on the way home. Altogether we put on nearly 800 trouble free miles and averaged 25 mpg. We traveled the Needles Highway on Sunday – lots of twists and turns, up hill and down, switchbacks galore and 7 single lane tunnels! What a day!
  
  The Ford 2.8 V6 with Toyota 5 speed was an ideal match for our trip. 8)
