      The last time I replaced a clutch on one of these cars was about 1976 or 77 and I do not remember if the engine has to be tilted back the way it does on an Alpine roadster. My shop manual seems to say that it does not (nothing mentioned about disconnecting the exhaust or draining radiator and disconnecting the hoses). Has anyone done the job recently and remember if the engine needs to be tilted. Thanks!

        you need to drop the back of the engine. the bell housing and input shaft are longer than the series alpine and you have to clear the firewall when pulling the unit.

        Do I need to disconnect top radiator hose and exhaust? Thanks!

          exhaust, yes. radiator hose ,maybe not. drop the back of the engine enough so the bell housing clears the firewall but watch that you don’t tear the motor mounts.
