Good luck. If you aren’t trying to keep a totally stock look, switching to a one-wire really cleans up the engine compartment. Or, as some have done, you can leave the now-excess components in the engine bay but still have the benefit of a readily available, more powerful alternator. I’ve had a Hitachi one in my SV for about 15 years and been very happy with the conversion.
