What do you mean by not enough bite? like not enough threads if so TIG it up on the back side and install heli coils, I also had a lakewood at one time looked like there would be some mods to make it work in a Tiger (width) Try a Ram 10.5" hd clutch also if you still have the long type cover you will need to drill a new bolt pattern for a diaphrgam cover the bolt pattern is still the same just in a differant position and its located by 3 dowell pins unlike a long cover which has shouldered bolts, or check with McCloud in ca for a long clutch they make good stuff.
