I did do that but not by design.Ended up doing the engine over.Still some ford nuts who think it is OK as the flywheel doesn’t change anything and I must have been listening to them .On the other hand The wrecking yard should have known.It was an expensive lesson.
On the Ford small block you can only put the 84 flywheel down on an 84 engine down.Only an 85 up Flywheel on an 85 up engine
