Idle Temperature vs. Time

This is a freebie. Simply closing the gap between the radiator and crossmember reduced the idle temperature approximately 5° F. We used a piece of black foam to seal the non-uniform gap.

Reading the heating problems section has been extremely helpful. I am in the process of building my 67 Alpine with a Ford 2.3 from an 85 Mustang, and will be running AIR CONDITIONING. My wife of almost 56 years likes comfort on the road in Texas…where it gets HOT! With extra insulation basically everywhere including the hardtop, plus Air-Conditioning, a nice multi-speaker sound system, cruise control, an automatic overdrive, 14″ wheels with taller tires, about 20 HP over the stock 1725, and much more torque at much lower RPM, I am building an Alpine road car I think the Brits call a saloon. I am calling it a Tiger Cub. Pictures on request.
